EHS Training and Communications

How can you effectively communicate your company's environmental goals and achievements to a worldwide audience, including your own employees, most of whom do not even speak English?

Companies operating globally have a number of special challenges when it comes to communication, both internally and externally. Differences in culture, the perceived roles and responsibilities of management and employees, and differing notions of risk and environmental and safety priorities go beyond mere language barriers.

Training Programmes

Enhesa designs and implements environment, health and safety training programmes to maximise the effectiveness of clients' EHS management systems. Enhesa trains corporate and facility management in all aspects of effective environmental management, including:

  • Design and implementation of environmental management systems conforming to international standards, such as ISO 14001 and the EU's Eco-Management and Audit Scheme.
  • Design and implementation of health and safety management systems.
  • Basic and in-depth courses on EHS laws and practice at national and international level Enhesa also prepares and delivers tailored seminars to address specific issues and concerns about regulatory and market-focused environmental issues impacting company operations and products.
  • Future trends in EHS regulatory developments at national and international levels.
  • Current regulatory requirements impacting industrial operations and processes.
  • Current and emerging policies, laws, regulations and market developments impacting product development and life-cycle environmental management.

Training sessions and seminars are frequently provided in local language as well as in English.

Internal and External Communications

Public opinion on company environmental performance can make or break a business. Not only is communication with the local community and public at large vital but the tools used to do so must convey the right message.
  • Drafting of corporate environmental policy statements for public dissemination.
  • Data compilation and drafting of annual environmental reports for certification under international EMS standards.
  • Design and implementation of internal information management and distribution systems to ensure that all parties concerned in a client organisation are regularly informed of key EHS regulatory and policy trends impacting their business and activities.

With our support, our clients are better able to bridge the communications gap that often arises between corporate management and local facilities regarding the reasons for, and the means to implement, environmental and health and safety management programmes and systems.

Enhesa's consultants have organised and implemented dozens of training programmes and seminars for clients in a variety of sectors.

Examples include:

  • Training client audit teams on local EHS laws and regulations prior to carrying out compliance audits.
