Enhesa’s top management commits to providing healthy and safe working conditions for employees for the prevention of work-related injury and ill health.
Scope and commitment
This policy applies to all Enhesa, Enhesa entities and subsidiaries, of which Enhesa has control over as well as people or entities working for or rendering a service for any of the aforementioned.
Enhesa commits to:
- Comply with applicable occupational health and safety (OHS) legislation and other requirements and where possible going beyond legislation by applying best practices
- Implement an occupational health and safety management system and provide the material and human resources for its implementation and success
- Continual improvement of its OHS performance and the OHS management system
- Setting OHS objectives on an annual basis which are relevant to our organization
- Identifying hazards and conducting risk assessments to prevent occupational accidents, injuries and ill health
- Eliminate hazards and reduce OHS risks
- Implement preventive measures when hazards cannot be eliminated
- Facilitate consultation and participation of workers or of their representatives
- Ensure OHS criteria, including sharing of commitments and actions to provide a safe and healthy workplace are taken into account in procurement decisions
- Report and investigate occupational incidents and accidents
- Provide training and awareness on health, safety and wellbeing to all workers to work safely and protect their mental and physical wellbeing
- Have in place emergency preparedness and evacuation procedures to respond to an incident, such as a fire or an earthquake
- Facilitate, organize (where possible) and participate in evacuation and fire drills
