Enhesa achieves ISO 14001 & ISO 45001 multisite certification
In December 2025, Enhesa obtained multisite certification for ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, awarded by DNV (certification body). This important achievement reflects our long term commitment to environmental responsibility, employee health and safety, and operational excellence across the organization.
In 2025, we established the goal of designing, implementing, and certifying an integrated Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) management system across multiple Enhesa locations. Meeting the requirements of ISO 14001:2015 for Environmental Management Systems and ISO 45001:2018 for Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems confirms that our processes align with internationally recognized best practices.
About Enhesa
For more than 30 years, Enhesa has been the global leader in regulatory and non‑regulatory intelligence on environmental, health and safety; product compliance; sustainability; and safer chemicals. Our insights empower multinational companies to make responsible decisions across the full lifecycle of their products—placing sustainability at the center of business priorities while navigating evolving global challenges such as climate change, digital transformation, and geopolitical shifts.
Why these certifications matter
Employees identified EHS as a top priority during our stakeholder engagement, and obtaining these certifications demonstrates our commitment to acting on this feedback. Certification strengthens our ability to reduce risks, keep people safe, respond to regulatory changes, and continuously improve our performance.
Our Chief Human Resources Officer, Beatriz Preto, shared how meaningful this achievement is for the organization, expressing pride in the dedication that led to certification. She noted that “ISO 45001 reflects Enhesa’s deep commitment to the health, safety, and wellbeing of colleagues”, adding that “everyone deserves to work in an environment where they feel supported and empowered to thrive.” She emphasized that this certification is the result of the care, discipline, and passion colleagues bring to their roles.
She also highlighted that “ISO 14001 reinforces our responsibility to the world around us. This certification demonstrates that we not only care, but take deliberate steps to identify and reduce our environmental impacts.” Together, she explained, the two certifications represent the heart of Enhesa’s culture – putting people first and protecting the environment, not because it is required, but because it is the right thing to do. She extended heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to this collective accomplishment.
Reflecting on the milestone, Enhesa’s CEO Peter Schramme underscored that achieving ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 is more than a compliance accomplishment. He shared that “the certifications are a reflection of Enhesa’s values, its culture, and the dedication of its people. As an organization rooted in Environmental, Health, and Safety excellence”, he noted “these certifications validate our commitment to protecting our people, safeguarding our planet, and operating with integrity”. He emphasized that excellence is not an endpoint, but a journey and a shared purpose – and expressed sincere gratitude to everyone whose expertise and dedication made this achievement possible.
With these certifications now in place, Enhesa enters a three‑year cycle of internal and external audits to maintain and continuously strengthen our certified system. This ongoing process ensures that we keep improving, innovating, and leading by example in delivering outstanding EHS performance.
