Human Rights Day: Our Rights, Our Future, Right Now
UN Human Rights Day is on 10th December, and in 2024 takes the theme of Our Rights, Our Future, Right Now. Now more than 70 years on from the original declaration in Paris in 1948, this year’s theme calls for action to reinvigorate the human rights movement, and acknowledge the importance of human rights in everyone’s lives.

About the Enhesa Human Rights Hub
Human rights are crucial to enabling everyone to live what the UN calls ‘a better tomorrow’. They play a critical role as a preventative, protective and transformative force for good in our world.
This hub brings together some of Enhesa’s resources to show the tangible impact of human rights, focusing on relevant global issues.
Prevent: By defending human rights, we can prevent harm before it happens.
Human rights are the common thread that binds us all together. By defending them, we can start to foster peace and stability around the world.
Protect: By protecting human rights, we protect our future.
Human rights are not abstract ideas. They offer protection, ensuring everyone, everywhere can live in dignity and respect.
Transform: By advancing human rights, we create a fairer world.
Upholding human rights isn’t only about addressing present injustices. It is also about reshaping unjust societies and empowering marginalized groups.
