Jorge Gonzalez-Perez trained as a Cardiovascular Scientist and previously worked as a Quality Assurance / Data Analyst / Compliance Expert for the pharmaceutical industry. He joined the company in 2021 as a Toxicologist.

He believes that chemical hazard assessments are an important way to help people to understand the risks of chemicals for both humans and the environment. He sees his role as helping to inform and educate, citing the need to balance the risks and benefits of chemicals, to ensure that innovations are as safe as possible.

Jorge is a firm believer in lifelong learning. His latest plan is to learn more about Python programming, building on his background in data analysis. He also plans to obtain other professional certifications that will be useful in his job.
