Enhesa organized the second seminar of this year in Japan on Wednesday, 13 July 2016 at the Embassy of Belgium in Japan. The seminar was organized as a joint seminar with Bureau Veritas Japan. More than 80 guests participated in this joint seminar.
The purpose of these Enhesa seminars is to share updated information on global EHS and product regulations as well as some good examples of best practices for EHS compliance management with Japanese EHS managers so they can stay on top in EHS compliance management or be motivated to improve their EHS compliance performance.
In this joint seminar with Bureau Veritas Japan, Paul Beatley gave a talk on the topic of “Best practice in global EHS compliance management”. In his presentation, he explained how the idea or concept of EHS compliance management had been developed and evolved and why it is so critical for global companies to comply with EHS regulations. Ellen Zhang gave a talk on the topic of “China EHS regulatory update and trend”. In her presentation, she explained how EHS regulations in China were becoming stricter than ever and highlighted some of the recent key enforcement cases. The final presenter was Mr. Hisaki Okazaki from Bureau Veritas Japan. He emphasized the importance of CSR and corporate governance audit. Belgian Ambassador Sleeuwagen showed his continued support for Enhesa by giving enthusiastic closing remarks.
Following the seminar, all participants enjoyed an hour of networking with some refreshments, including Belgian beer and sweets.
