Kimberley de Miguel
Managing Analyst, Europe, Middle East and Africa
Kimberley De Miguel joined Enhesa Product in June 2023 as the Managing Analyst for the Europe, Middle East and Africa regions. She holds a BEng in Materials Science and Engineering and an MSc in Sustainability and Environmental Management.
The most crucial part of Kimberley’s role is to extract the most critical aspects of upcoming regulations and utilize her understanding of the industry’s day-to-day challenges to find the best solutions. She believes in helping her customers stay ahead of the game and going a step further than regulatory compliance.
Kimberley enjoys working with Enhesa’s worldwide multidisciplinary and multicultural team, which is equally motivated and shares a genuine interest in shifting the status quo of chemical management.
Kimberley is keenly interested in the impact of digital tools that can improve value chain transparency and increase the visibility of hazards in everyday products. As a woman, she places a lot of focus on products like cosmetics, textiles, food-contact materials, toys, and electronics, which are of everyday use and pose a greater risk to those more susceptible to chemical exposures such as women and children.
When asked about her hopes and vision for the future, Kimberley envisions, “ A society where consumers are truly empowered by information, we can make informed decisions on what is best for our home. A society where policymakers have access to industry’s practices and needs, where companies collaborate, and employers strive to protect their workforce. I will always advocate for a preventive approach, a pragmatic and cost-efficient way of doing the right thing.”
Kimberley believes that manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, policymakers, and consumers play a key role in chemicals and product management and need visibility and understanding of what is happening in today’s market. Every decision we make directly impacts the health of all people and the planet.
