Natércia is a Law Graduate from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ), in Brazil, with an exchange period (1 year) at the Faculté de Droit et de Science Politique of the Aix-Marseille Université, in France. There, she focused her studies in International Law, especially human rights. After being a lawyer in a law firm specialized in international import-export transactions, Natércia did a post-graduate specialization in International Law at the University of Lisbon, in Portugal, with a focus on Human Rights, Humanitarian Law and International Commercial Law, before moving to Belgium.

Natércia is a certified lawyer in both Brazil and Portugal (registered in the two Bar Associations). Alongside her development at Enhesa, she stays engaged with research groups in Environmental Law, resulting in the publication of the book “Green New Deal & Multilateralism” in 2023, which she co-coordinated and co-authored.
